Making Space To Listen

Albert Einstein said, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

The conversation I have most with my clients and students is that they know something isn’t right, but they don’t know what. Or they think maybe they know what’s wrong, but they have no idea how to fix it. And listen, your brain is amazing. Truly. But it ain’t everything. Carl Jung believed, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.” I believe this. Deeply. And in a world where we have more input from outside sources than ever before, we’ve forgotten how to listen. There’s so much noise in our lives that we can’t hear ourselves.

Over five days, I’ll help you start to learn how to listen. We’ll work to clear the bullshit that’s blocking our internal signals, so we can create space to hear what’s deeper. With my east coast no-nonsense attitude and my loving nudges, you’ll quiet your mind enough to listen to the deepest parts of yourself.

Each morning starts with a brand-new movement class Alyssa created for this retreat: activation, stillness, sound, and stretching tied to different parts of the body, so we can open up. Evenings are yin yoga, conscious connected breathwork, and sometimes sound baths, to move what’s stuck and get out of our own way. Along the way: excursions, journaling, and time to just relax. Lodging, meals, and airport transportation are all included.
